Scheduling

Appointments are arranged by phone. You can contact Dr. Forsyth directly at 216-407-7257. Please leave your name, contact number, and best times to reach you. Dr. Forsyth realizes that it takes courage to contact a therapist, and it is best to get started as soon as possible. She will do her best to arrange an appointment within a week of your call. Please note that appointments are not scheduled via email.

What to Expect

Appointments are 50 minutes in length. The first meeting will involve laying out your reasons for seeking therapy, pertinent history, and goals for treatment. You may be asked to provide your consent so that your other health providers can be contacted for treatment coordination. Referrals for other relevant health providers may also be given if appropriate.

Clients are encouraged to be active participants in their own treatment goals so that therapy addresses the issues most relevant for them . Questions, concerns, and suggestions are always welcome.

If you are a parent seeking treatment for your adolescent, you will be encouraged to join the “treatment team” so that you can help your adolescent outside of sessions. If your adolescent is not open to psychotherapy, we can discuss alternative options such as Parent Coaching in which you develop skills that can be used to help your adolescent at home.
